Quantam of Solace ... I miss Bond
i went to see "Bond, James Bond" .... by the end of the movie i felt i had entered the wrong hall...... it was just another action movie, where the hero looked more like the villain........ the action sequences were so fast, that i couldnt make out the alfaromeo from astra martin, who was getting hurt and who was hitting, who fell down and who got up....... the story line was bad.... the villain was not villainous enough.... bond not charming enough....all is all not worth it......:(....

when will time change?
i want to believe that times have changed... i want to believe that india is changing...... that the "soch" of the people has changed..... i want to believe in "The Secret" (by Rhonda B.) that if you can think, know and feel it, it happens!!!!!! but [sigh] does it really!!!
we may have moved to the 21st century, america may have elected its first black president...... but has the "change really come" to india......
in reflection when i look back, i feel i have lived in a cocoon always..... and now when the shell broke and I was ready to fly I didnt want to leave my cocoon 'coz its goddamn the place on earth......
[sigh][sigh] i was brought up by parents who taught me never to bias against people based on religion, caste and region...... i am best friends with a christian, muslim and a sikh...... they have been my friends for decades.... yes! i have a point and this discussion is leading to it...... the point is that after all these years, after studies n work n marriage n our share of ups and downs...... its incredible to see that bondage parents put on their children at this age n time.......
they have let them study, given them perfect values.... each one of them is a mature individual, then why hold them back now......????
why not trust them to make a right decision for themsleves....????
dont they trust their upbringing????
dont they trust their children to take the right decision for themselves????
cant they let go of their chickens when they r ready to fly out of the nest????
are they really that insecure??? do they always need to feel in control all the time???
is the false image in the society more important than the happiness of their own children????
and does the society really care?????????????
:( i am sad for everyone who is an educated, MATURE adult... yet had to face the family backlash when the decided to get married to the partner of their choice......
